NV Chamber Advocacy Working for You

As we all face increasing barriers to trade to the U.S., the North Vancouver Chamber is proud to have led the provincial Chamber network initiative and discussion to reduce interprovincial trade barriers

We submitted a policy recommendation in early 2025 that was adopted unanimously by other Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade at the BC Chamber AGM in Nanaimo in late May 2025.

On November 19, 2025, the Canadian Mutual Recognition Agreement (CMRA) was signed in Yellowknife. As the BC Chamber stated: “Every step we take to reduce barriers businesses face to grow their customer base and make it easier to conduct business across the country is a positive one. We know that the elimination of unnecessary regulation will increase productivity and boost investment and innovation. As businesses succeed, grow and expand they will create additional jobs and improve prosperity.”

We would still like to see Wines & Spirits included in this agreement, but this step is progress.

This is another example of the NV Chamber and our Chamber network advocacy at work for you.
