In the face of COVID-19 and the changing needs of the community, Cyri Jones, founder of Zen Maker Labs, and his team quickly pivoted their priorities and expertise to manufacture face shields. They generously supported doctors, nurses, and first responders at Lions Gate Hospital by providing them with free PPE and reusable Face Shields. Zen Maker Lab made adjustments to have everyone working – no closures or lay-offs happened. Zen even found time to continue providing STEAM education including the production of the DesignMakePlay show, streamed on Zen Maker Lab’s website and on Twitter with free access.
