Shipyards Christmas Market brings festive spirit to the waterfront!
We spent a lovely evening visiting our most festive North Van Chamber member, Shipyards Christmas Market! It was nice to see other NV Chamber members Copperpenny Distilling, Wildeye Brewing, Golestan Bakery, Zen Maker Lab, and WAVE 98.3 taking part in the market.
Congrats to longtime NV Chamber member Grouse Mountain on launch of new gondola!
On December 12, we were thrilled to attend the grand-opening celebration of the Blue Grouse Gondola at Grouse Mountain Resort, a 60-year NV Chamber member! At the launch, we enjoyed catching up with Grouse Mountain President Michael Cameron, North Vancouver District and City Mayors Mike Little and Linda Buchanan, and our friend Anne Bethune, President of Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports (VASS).
Seaspan launches Canada’s longest naval ship built in Canada
Congratulations to our annual partner and longtime member, Seaspan, on the launch of Canada’s longest naval ship built in Canada, HMCS Protecteur — a 173-metre vessel built in our backyard! We were pleased to be at the December 13 naming ceremony, attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Navy Vice-Admiral Angus Topshee, and other dignitaries.

Capilano Suspension Bridge dazzles once again with Canyon Lights!
Kudos to the staff at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park for dazzling locals and visitors alike with their dazzling Canyon Lights! The attraction will be aglow with millions of holiday lights until January 19, 2025.
