North Vancouver Chamber Receives Accreditation with Distinction
North Vancouver, B.C. – The North Vancouver Chamber has received Accreditation with Distinction through the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada.
The Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada (CACC) national accreditation program designed to recognize chambers that satisfy a set of high standards and practices- chambers that seek to stand out and that look into the future. In recognizing this achievement, the Shelley Morris of the CACC noted, “You are part of a group of elite chambers of commerce in Canada that can verify to the business community locally and nationally that your organization is run in a strategic and professional way, and has reached the standard in Chamber excellence.”
The North Vancouver Chamber achieved accreditation with distinction in the ‘Large Chamber’ category. In order to qualify for accreditation with distinction, there are Five Pillars of Accreditation that Chambers must achieve, including:
1.Membership Programs and Services
2.Policy and Advocacy Work
3.Organization and Administration
4.Strategic Planning
5.Governance
“I am so proud of our team of staff, volunteers and members at the North Vancouver Chamber who made it possible for us to meet the high standards set by the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada,” said Chamber CEO Patrick Stafford-Smith. “This should provide assurance to business owners and employees in North Vancouver that we are offering the support, building the connections, and providing leadership in an efficient and effective way. There is always room for improvement, and we are listening, but there are only 10 accredited Chambers in BC and only 71 in Canada – so we are in select company and I believe we are on the right track.”
