CHAMBER IN ACTION: A taste of what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks …
NV Chamber event connects women in business, inspires empowerment
Reflecting on our Women in Business event on March 31, we’re reminded how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many incredible female leaders in our community. The conversation highlighted the power of mentorship and collaboration among women, and the importance of incorporating individuality and personality into leadership style. Beyond the discussions, the event was a meaningful networking opportunity. See the highlights from this event!
Walk & Talk: Growing new connections at Park & Tilford Gardens
Rain or shine, our members know how to make the most of the day! In March, we enjoyed a wonderful Walk & Talk through the beautiful Park & Tilford Gardens, connecting, sharing ideas, and taking in the sights. We wrapped up with a cozy warm drink at JJ Bean. Our Walk & Talks are a valuable perk of your NV Chamber membership and a great opportunity to make new connections. Thank you to our Walk & Talk Presenting Sponsor, PARC Retirement Living. Join us in April as we check out the western portion of The Spirit Trail. Register: nvchamber.ca/events
Beyond the arches: NVC members go behind the scenes at North Shore Studios
Our members went behind the scenes at North Shore Studios in March for an exclusive tour! We learned about the studio’s history and its important role in B.C.’s film and television industry, including the significant economic impact of productions on local businesses and jobs. We also had the chance to step inside a working soundstage and connect with studio staff. It was a fascinating look at one of North Vancouver’s most recognizable creative hubs, and a rare chance to step beyond the arches on Brooksbank. Thank you to Amy Lang and the North Shore Studios team for hosting our members and sharing your story with us.
NVC contributes to conversation on immigrant inclusion and belonging
It was great to collaborate alongside community partners during the North Shore Service Providers’ Forum 2026, hosted by North Shore Immigrant Inclusion Partnership. We learned about current trends affecting immigrants and newcomers on the North Shore, explored newcomers’ experiences of community attachment and belonging, and discovered collaborative strategies to accelerate immigrant inclusion.
