The North Vancouver Chamber enthusiastically supports the MetroVan Mayors’ Council decision announced today to formally endorse the Metrotown-Park Royal Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line. The Metrotown-Park Royal BRT was the highest-scoring regional route under consideration due to the immediate demand it will satisfy from ridership and its ability to provide access to major employers and housing. The new BRT corridor will make it easier for people to live, work, learn and play without delay as it will alleviate congestion across the North Shore and through Burnaby and Vancouver.

We applaud North Shore Connects and the Municipal, Provincial, Federal and First Nations representatives for their collaborative work in moving this initiative forward.

This is a huge NV Chamber advocacy WIN! Since 2016, the North Vancouver Chamber and our Economic Partnership North Shore (EPNS) has been advocating for transit investment to reduce traffic congestion and provide efficient access to connect workers from across Metro Vancouver to employers in North Vancouver.
