Representatives from the Chamber Board and Chamber CEO, Louise Ranger attended the BC Chamber Annual General Meeting and Conference this past weekend in Kelowna, BC. CEO Louise Ranger presented two provincial policies which were adopted by the BC Chamber of Commerce membership.

The Protection of Industrial Lands for Future Prosperity policy calls on the provincial government to take immediate action to preserve critical trade-enabling and logistics lands and grow diminishing industrial lands, particularly in the Lower Mainland where the issue is most acute.

The Supporting BC’s Steelmaking Coal Industry policy calls on the provincial government to promote the productive benefits of high quality Canadian steelmaking coal to international markets and to educate the public on BC’s steelmaking coal resources.

The Chamber’s Policy Committee reviews various issues locally, provincially and nationally that support business.  If you have an issue that requires review or consideration of regulatory changes at any level of government, please let us know.
