John is a partner with Lakes, Whyte LLP, a law firm which is been part of North Vancouver since 1986. His legal practice is focused on civil litigation. He assists North Shore businesses and residents with problems ranging from contractual disputes and employment conflicts to personal injury claims and estate questions. John graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 1991 and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1992. He is a former federal prosecutor and has developed a knack for finding effective and cost-efficient means of assisting his clients with their legal issues. John was raised in West Vancouver and is now raising his own family in North Vancouver. He has served as the president of the North Shore Multicultural Society, the North Vancouver-Lonsdale Liberal Riding Association, and the North Shore Bar Association. He participates in several North Vancouver community activities, largely connected with his children’s extracurricular pursuits, and is an enthusiastic amateur trombonist.
