Lead the Voice of Business in North Vancouver

The North Vancouver Chamber is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking, and community-minded CEO to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic leadership, oversees operations, and serves as the primary voice for the local business community, ensuring the Chamber remains connected to the business community, delivers strong value to its members and remains financially sustainable.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the Board to set and execute a clear, multi-year strategy
  • Translate priorities into focused plans and measurable results
  • Identify trends impacting local businesses and position the Chamber accordingly

Advocacy & Relationships

  • Act as the Chamber’s lead spokesperson and advocate
  • Build relationships with government, Indigenous communities, members, businesses, and other interested parties
  • Advance policy positions that support business success

Membership & Community

  • Strengthen membership growth, retention, and engagement
  • Cultivate and maintain a visible, trusted presence in the business community
  • Ensure programs, new initiatives, and communications reflect member needs

Operations & Financial Oversight

  • Lead day-to-day operations, including finance, HR, and administration
  • Manage the budget and ensure strong financial stewardship
  • Grow diversified revenue through membership, sponsorship, and partnerships

Team & Culture

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Facilitate agile operational strategic planning
  • Foster an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative culture
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience in a chamber, association, nonprofit, or similar environment
  • Proven ability to lead strategy, manage operations and risk, and drive membership-based revenue growth
  • Strong stakeholder and government relations experience
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Sound financial and business acumen

Education: Post-secondary education required; MBA or equivalent is an asset

Role Details
  • Reports to: Board of Directors (via Board Chair)
  • Location: North Vancouver, BC
  • Full-time, with some evening/weekend commitments
  • Salary range:  $125,000 -$140,000, discretionary bonus

  • A health benefits package for you and your eligible dependents that includes Medical Services Plan coverage, extended health, dental, life insurance, and salary continuance during periods of illness/injury. You will be eligible for all benefit coverage on your first day of employment.
  • Eligible to participate in the NVCC’s RRSP Plan, should you wish to contribute. The NVCC will match contributions up to 5% of your annual salary.
  • Four (4) weeks annual vacation entitlement earned and taken on a nonaccrual basis.
  • Fixed-term initial contract of 5 years
