CHAMBER IN ACTION: A taste of what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks …
Magical Valentine’s visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
We enjoyed visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge Park around Valentine’s Day to experience their enchanting Love Lights display. The colourful lights made the park feel magical, while The Cliff House Restaurant’s festive food and drinks made for a delicious and cozy treat during our visit. Don’t miss Hoppy Heights from March 14 to April 6.
Business After 5: The Wallace Venue
North Van Chamber members gathered at sunset at The Wallace Venue on February 11 for a Business After 5 that truly delivered. We soaked in stunning views of The Shipyards and the Vancouver skyline in an elegant space with beautiful historic details, making it easy to mix, mingle, and make new connections.

Our Walk & Talks are a valuable perk of your NV Chamber membership and a great opportunity to make new connections. Thank you to our Walk & Talk Presenting Sponsor, PARC Retirement Living. Join us in March as we check out Park & Tilford Gardens. Register: nvchamber.ca/events
Exploring the foundations of regenerative tourism with VNSTA
Participating in the Regenerative Tourism Workshop, hosted by Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association, left us with plenty of food for thought and practical tools to help us lead by example within our community. We also enjoyed hearing different perspectives from industry partners.
Celebrating Lunar New Year at Bodwell High School
We were delighted to visit Bodwell High School for their Lunar New Year Open House on February 13. Touring the campus, meeting students and staff, and hearing from Head of School Stephen Goobie gave us great insight into their programs and what comes after high school. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with a valued Annual Partner of the North Van Chamber and celebrate the Bodwell community.
Celebrating Community at Zimba Design’s Appreciation Evening
It was a pleasure to attend Zimba Design’s Appreciation Evening and connect with fellow community members in such a warm, welcoming setting. A special thank you to Pam Chilton, a longtime NVC member and outstanding community ambassador, for bringing everyone together. We loved making new connections (and enjoying the delicious homemade appies!).
Chamber highlights Lower Lonsdale’s economic growth during SFU student tour
We were pleased to welcome Dr. Stephan Nieweler’s SFU planning and transportation class to Lower Lonsdale for a neighbourhood tour. As they passed by our office, we had the opportunity to speak about the economic side of Lower Lonsdale’s revitalization and the critical role improved transit plays in the area’s (and the City’s) future growth.
